At many customer sites, Essbase has been implemented a few years back. The original administrator is long gone and the documentation is less than stellar. The current administrator is most likely an accountant of financial analyst who has not had the luxury of going to training or has not had the time to fully understand the inner workings of Essbase at the company. At these companies too much time is spent manually maintaining your Essbase applications. You'd be surprised how much time can be saved in generating your financials through a few automations.
