This feature came along in Hyperion Planning 9.x. While there were some bugs (like could not export security when you have composite web forms), this feature has promise.
A cascade web form allows you to have 2 web forms on the same screen in Planning.
This means that you can have a top grid that shows a high level summarized income statement while another grid lower on the screen contains the drivers for a budget. The user can enter their drivers on the lower grid, hit save, then view the effect on the income statement without having to move to another web form.
This can greatly reduce the confusion experienced by the end users of Hyperion Planning systems.
